Academics Agency are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Mid Sussex.
This role would suit someone who is confident supporting children who may experience challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties or SEMH needs.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group behaviour support
- Helping pupils manage emotions and regulate their behaviour
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Supporting pupils to engage with learning
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Providing a calm, consistent and nurturing approach
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs
- Calm, patient and resilient
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Able to build strong relationships with children
- Experience in a school, SEN, youth work or support setting is desirable
