Role Overview

• Deliver & Engage: As a specialist Secondary IT Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging IT lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities).
• Adaptability: Seamlessly step into different IT departments across Chester to cover day-to-day, short-term absences, or planned long-term leaves.
• Progress: For longer-term roles, monitor student progress, mark work, and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Classroom Management: Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive, productive learning environment, ensuring continuity of learning.

Requirements

• Qualifications: A degree in Information Technology, Business & ICT (or a related discipline) and/or UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ECT).
• Experience: Previous experience working as a Secondary IT Teacher teaching the UK IT curriculum.
• Skills: Excellent classroom management, adaptability, strong digital literacy, and the ability to make digital skills and IT concepts accessible.
• Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Location: Based in or easily able to commute to schools throughout Chester.
