Are you an experienced and skilled Residential Support or Youth Worker based in Crewe or surrounding areas? Have you worked with children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Are you able to support children to manage and regulate challenging behaviours?

Are you looking for your next step, with a better work/life balance, in the Crewe area? Would you like a role where you could continue to make a difference, and use your skills in behaviour management, emotional and pastoral support, but with shorter shifts and no overnights?

The Job… Working in schools around Crewe to support children with SEMH needs who can demonstrate challenging behaviour - your role will be part teaching classroom assistant, and part pastoral support worker. You will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively - ensuring that the children you will care for are kept on task, helped to manage their behaviour, and to engage and communicate with their peers and teachers.

Skilled in de-escalation and behaviour management, your role will be a rewarding and challenging one, with no day the same as the last!

  • Experienced working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs
  • Able to hold student attention and communicate effectively in tough situations
  • Able to encourage emotional regulation, and support pupils with SEMH needs to flourish!
