An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a welcoming primary school in Tewkesbury as a Behaviour Support Assistant.
This friendly and inclusive school is seeking a caring and motivated individual to support pupils across the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in helping children regulate emotions, build positive behaviour, and fully engage with their learning.
Academics Ltd is looking for someone with experience, or a strong interest, in supporting children with behavioural needs. The role involves delivering 1:1 and small-group support, working collaboratively with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.

- Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (Term time only)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with challenging behaviour and SEND, helping them to regulate their emotions and engage in learning.
- Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to support children in overcoming behavioural challenges.
- Work with teachers and staff to foster a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a positive, proactive way.
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to create and review personalised plans for each child.
- Support children during lessons, breaks, and other activities to ensure their emotional well-being and safety.
