Are you a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is looking for a role in which you support local schools on a daily basis? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a variety of local schools based in Cannock and Rugeley on a temporary basis. You will be working through a highly established agency. You must be confident and experienced in supporting children on both a 1:1 / small group and whole class. You will be confident in covering whole-class teaching, delivering planned lessons, supporting pupils with a range of needs and abilities and working closely alongside teaching staff providing high-quality support that helps to ensure and promote the continuity of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality support to all pupils within a school and nursery environment.
  • Assist in fostering a positive, nurturing learning environment by upkeeping and maintaining behaviour standards and policies in line with school requirements.
  • Providing relevant support to a range of classes and students within a school environment, your work may be spread across a range of Key stages and classes.
  • The ability to work using your own initiative, comfortable supporting staff with lesson planning and teaching where required.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children at all times.

What we're looking for:

  • Will have quite flexible availability, open minded in supporting a particular school on a longer-term basis.
  • A qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4).
  • Has strong and valuable experience working within school environments and pupils on a daily basis.
  • A kind, caring nature which is rooted by a passion for supporting children in an education setting.
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one).
  • Can provide two recent professional references.
  • Is able to commute to Cannock and Rugeley.
  • Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics.

Pay £93 - £100 per day, depending on experience. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
