A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camberley is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to support children with challenging behaviour and Special Educational Needs (SEND) in a nurturing, positive environment.
In this role, you'll work across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, assisting pupils in managing their emotions, building positive relationships, and re-engaging with their learning.
Academics Ltd is seeking a caring, proactive individual with either experience or a keen interest in supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs. You'll provide both 1:1 and small group support, working closely with teachers and the wider school team to promote positive behaviour and emotional development.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural and SEND needs, helping them regulate emotions and participate fully in class.
- Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
- Support with de-escalation and proactive management of challenging behaviour.
- Work alongside the SENCO, teaching staff, and parents to create and review individualised support plans.
- Promote wellbeing and safety during lessons, breaktimes, and school activities.
Experience supporting children with behavioural needs or within SEND settings is advantageous - but most importantly, you'll bring a genuine passion for helping young learners thrive.
