Academics are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school and sixth form in Thanet who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Travel & Tourism to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time maternity cover basis. This position is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.
The Role
- You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across BTEC Travel & Tourism Level 2 and Level 3 courses, helping students develop both their academic knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
- Plan and deliver inspiring Travel & Tourism lessons to Level 2 and Level 3 learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress in line with BTEC requirements.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in achieving their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Travel & Tourism, preferably at BTEC Level 2 and/or Level 3.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
- Has excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Is passionate about vocational education and student success.
