This role will include leading classes and developing children's skills in their learning. A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will be expected to teach and cover classes in teacher’s absences using their planning to continue students' learning without disruption. The senior leadership team are supportive and hands-on to support their students and ensure the utmost development in order to grow and thrive.
Within this role, you may be asked to carry out intervention tasks to support students lacking confidence as well as assisting students who need additional support with their learning. The schools are looking for like-minded individuals who will settle within the setting and be able to continue their hard work with the students. Kind, caring, nurturing and fair personalities are qualities the schools are looking for to add to their team.
You will be supporting pupils across the school and working outside the classroom in extracurricular activities. Your skills and experience will be put to the test by supporting the learning and development of each pupil dedicated to you, ensuring they are encouraged, supported and managed in an effective manner to meet their needs.
What we look for in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
- Hold HLTA status or have extensive previous teaching assistance experience
- Be capable of preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, small groups or the class as a whole
- Experience of strong behaviour management within the classroom
- A passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs
