About the Role
Academics are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teachers to work on a full-time or part-time supply basis in secondary schools across Bradford. This role involves delivering high-quality Humanities lessons (such as History, Geography, and/or Religious Education) through long-term placements, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
- Inspire students' interest in Humanities subjects
- Work collaboratively with departmental and school staff
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Humanities in secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
