We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join our school as a Teaching Assistant, supporting students within the classroom environment. This role is ideal for a recent graduate considering a future career in teaching, education, or educational psychology.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to help students access the curriculum, build confidence in mathematics, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students during maths lessons, both one‑to‑one and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Helping students understand mathematical concepts and complete set work
  • Providing additional support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties
  • Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Preparing learning materials and supporting differentiated activities
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
  • A degree in Mathematics (or a closely related subject)
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
  • Be able to commute to Bracknell
