Are you an eager and experienced teacher hoping to significantly influence students' academic growth? From September 2026 to May 2027, we, Academics, are looking to recruit a committed Year 6 SATs Booster & Intervention Teacher to work for one of our highly respected primary schools located in Birmingham City. This role focuses on delivering tailored interventions and booster sessions to help Year 6 students develop the confidence and knowledge to reach their full potential when sitting their SATs exams.

The role of a SATs Booster & Intervention Teacher includes:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored English and Maths sessions to Year 6 pupils
  • Support pupils in preparing for the SATs exams by conducting small group and 1-to-1 sessions
  • Identifying learning gaps and adjust lessons to meet individual pupil needs
  • Work in close collaboration with Year 6 Teachers and Teaching Assistants to monitor pupils' progress and needs

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • Has experience supporting or teaching Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally year 6
  • Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and SATs
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
  • Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
