The Role- Provide 1:1 and group counselling to SEND learners, supporting emotional regulation, mental health, and well-being.
- Deliver personalised career guidance, particularly related to pathways in creative media and related industries.
- Work collaboratively with academic staff to ensure the social, emotional, and personal development needs of learners are met.
- Create and monitor individual support and progress plans, helping students build confidence and resilience.
- Optionally, support curriculum delivery by running creative media workshops using Adobe software (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Essential
- A certified counsellor with professional qualifications and experience in an educational or SEND setting.
- Strong understanding of the challenges facing post-16 SEND learners.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to tailor support approaches to meet the diverse and individualised needs of students.
- Immediate availability.
Desirable
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, etc.).
