Academics Ltd is now hiring a motivated and committed Learning Support Assistant to work in several Birmingham primary schools. For those who are committed to helping young children reach their full potential in both academics and social interactions, this is a fantastic opportunity. This role is temporary work that could lead to a long term placement for the right candidate.
As a part of the Learning support team, you will be essential in assisting students with a range of learning needs and contributing to the development of a welcoming and supportive learning environment where each child may succeed.
As a member of the Learning Support Assistant, your tasks will include:
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group support both within and outside of the classroom
- Help teachers deliver engaging lessons and educational exercises
- Assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as those with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASC), speech and language impairments, and social, emotional, and mental health issues
- Promote student involvement, independence, and confidence in their ability to learn
- Encourage good behaviour and contribute to the upkeep of a secure and encouraging learning environment
- Take note of students' development and provide the teacher with feedback.
Requirements for this role:
- Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
- Relevant qualifications or experience
- Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
