School Caretaker - Secondary School Location: Bexleyheath Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Bexleyheath. The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe, secure, clean and well maintained. Key Responsibilities Opening and securing the school site Carrying out daily site and security checks Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs Ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well presented Setting up rooms and areas for school activities and events Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues Supporting with general premises and facilities duties The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in caretaking, premises or facilities Good general maintenance and practical skills A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach Good knowledge of health and safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience working within a school environment would be advantageous A valid DBS or willingness to undergo a DBS checkPlease note: Candidates must have a DBS in place or be willing to complete the DBS process before starting.
