A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive team. The Role: Behaviour Support Assistant

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships, and re-engage with their learning. The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will provide both 1:1 and small group support, using effective behaviour management strategies to promote engagement and positive outcomes. Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and the wider school team, the Behaviour Support Assistant will play a key role in fostering a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support as a Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Implement personalised behaviour strategies to support individual pupil needs
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour development
  • Assist with de-escalation and proactive behaviour management
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to support progress
  • Promote pupil wellbeing, safety, and engagement throughout the school day

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: 90-105 per day (depending on experience)
  • Full-time: 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Term-time only
