Academics are seeking enthusiastic and reliable mathematics teachers to undertake a long-term role from September 2026. At Academics, we understand that not every school is the right fit and you may be looking for a new opportunity. We are aware it can be scary taking the leap, but feeling valued should be the main priority. Alternatively, this role would be ideal for a mathematics teacher who has just finished a long-term role. Academics are an agency, and although these roles are temporary, they often lead to permanent contracts. These roles are situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, and they run until July 2027. In these roles, you will be expected to teach pupils basic and complex mathematical concepts like arithmetic, algebra and geometry.
- In these roles, you will be paid according to the national teaching pay scale (£173 - £260 a day).
- Easy registration and school interviewing process.
- Up to £125 refer a friend scheme.
- You will have a personal contact at Academics.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective schemes of work.
- Establish relationships with pupils quickly.
- Use regular assessments to monitor pupil progress.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Valid DBS (can be produced through us).
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (can be produced through us).
Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
- You are in or near the Vale of Glamorgan.
