The Role
We are recruiting a committed and forward-thinking Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist to join a supportive and collaborative therapy team within a specialist educational setting in Hillingdon. You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions that promote communication, independence and functional life skills for children and young people with complex needs. Your caseload will include a range of presentations across speech, language, social communication, feeding and Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC). Working closely with teachers and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will support the integration of therapy targets into daily learning, ensuring a consistent and holistic approach to student development.
About You
- HCPC registration and experience working at Band 7 level
- Strong skills in assessment, clinical reasoning and intervention planning
- Experience working with AAC systems, speech, language and social communication needs
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Confidence working independently while contributing to team development
- A compassionate, flexible and child-centred approach
