The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Aylesbury. Working closely alongside the class teacher, you will help pupils access the curriculum, provide support during lessons and contribute to creating a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment. This is a full-time, long-term position working 5 days a week, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils' education and development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils during classroom lessons
  • Working closely with the class teacher to support learning
  • Helping pupils access the KS2 curriculum
  • Providing individual and small-group support
  • Answering questions and reinforcing learning
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting classroom organisation and general duties
  • Assisting with pupil behaviour and classroom management
  • Encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence
