This exciting opportunity is based within a well-regarded two-form entry primary school in Aylesbury that is committed to delivering an outstanding education for all pupils. The dedicated staff work collaboratively to create a positive learning environment where children can thrive.

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading lessons where required, delivering interventions, and helping pupils reach their full potential. This is a high-performing school with an excellent reputation and a strong track record of success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons across the primary age range.
  • Lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher where appropriate.

  • Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

  • HLTA status or relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • A good understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is welcomed, particularly for teachers looking for a role offering greater work-life balance and reduced planning and assessment responsibilities.
