Look no further, as we have a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School who are looking for an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist at a special needs school in Camberley. You will be supporting a small class, working in partnership with the school\\\’s teaching staff and support staff team to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students\\\’ language acquisition.
As an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), and deliver interventions to children with speech, language and communicational needs both in a small group and 1:1. You will make a real difference to the lives of the children, gaining vital experience which will enable you to kick-start your future career as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD

- Start date ASAP – Camberley
- Excellent on-site education and training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
- £90-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:30, term time only
- No previous experience is required
- GCSE in English and Maths
- If you have a Psychology / Criminology / Social Science degree, it\\\’s an excellent use of your degree
- You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply – no Visa sponsorship
