An outstanding East London secondary school is looking for Graduates who have an interest in teaching to join the team to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable paid school experience through working as a teaching assistant.
This Tower Hamlets based secondary school is looking for graduates who have gained some form of recent experience with young people - paid or voluntary and are now looking to develop their existing experience in a school setting. You may have gained experience in a number of ways such as tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, etc.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working within the school's learning support department alongside an experienced SENCo, supporting pupils with special educational needs in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. You will be working with other individuals who have an interest in teaching and will get a real insight into what it is like to work in a London secondary school.
For the past 7 years, this East London school has supported graduates who are embarking on their teaching career, making it the ideal environment for an aspiring secondary school teacher. You will get the opportunity to work with students of various abilities as well as working closely with different teachers, giving you the opportunity to observe different teaching styles and techniques.
