A specialist SEN school in Slough is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers who want to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting students with ASD and a range of special educational needs.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group support tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
- Support students with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
- Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement throughout the school day.
