About the Role
- Full‑time (Monday to Friday).
- Supporting Early Years pupils within a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver the EYFS curriculum.
- Providing tailored support for children with a range of SEN, including communication and interaction needs, autism, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
- Delivering small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions to support children’s learning, communication, and social development.
- Taking observations, monitoring progress, and contributing to individual learning plans and support strategies.
- Working closely with the school's SENCO, teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need.
- Long‑term opportunity for the full academic year, with training and progression available.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, BA).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (A*–C / 9–4).
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
- Experience carrying out Early Years observations and assessments.
- Experience supporting children with SEN in an Early Years, nursery, or primary school setting is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of inclusive practice and the ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Confident, patient, proactive, and positive attitude.
- Team player who is adaptable, committed, and passionate about early childhood education.
