About the Role As an Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teaching and support staff to provide tailored support to learners who may require additional academic, emotional or behavioural support. You will play an important role in creating a safe and engaging environment where every learner has the opportunity to thrive. Key Details: Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant Special Educational Needs (SEN) support work Cheltenham based Start ASAP £80-£95 per day (Depending on Experience) Term time only Clear DBS (or willingness to apply) Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to a range of learners across the day. Support learners with their learning, development and engagement. Support the delivery of targeted interventions and personalised activities. Build positive and trusting relationships with learners. Encourage continued positive behaviour choices, confidence and independence. Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment for all. Follow all policies and procedures on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who is: Caring, patient and adaptable. Willing to learn and develop through training and hands on experience. Able to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
