- Key Stages: KS3 & KS4, Years 7-11
As a Graduate TA, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support teaching, learning and student progress. Responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group classroom support
- Supporting learning, engagement and academic progress
- Assisting with lessons and classroom activities
- Supporting targeted interventions
- Providing SEN/SEND support where required
- Working with SEN, Inclusion and pastoral teams
- Promoting positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- 2:2 degree or higher in any subject
- Experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching or employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine interest in education and teacher training
- Reliable, enthusiastic and committed approach
- Commitment to a full academic year
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, Tutor or Mentor is desirable but not essential.
