A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salisbury is currently seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional learning needs. Responsibilities

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will tailor your support to meet the individual needs of the pupil, both academically and emotionally. This may include adapting learning materials, managing behaviour positively, and encouraging engagement within the classroom environment. The school's leadership team is looking for someone who is nurturing, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact. You will support the pupil across the curriculum, helping them engage in lessons and develop both academically and socially.

Qualifications

This position is well suited to a recent graduate considering a career in education, psychology, or SEN, as well as an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. Relevant experience may include mentoring, tutoring, youth work, childcare, or supporting individuals with additional needs. Experience supporting children with ASD, behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties would be highly beneficial for this role.
