Academics, acting as an agency, are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a flexible, temporary ongoing position within a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chesterfield.

- Contract: Flexible, temporary ongoing
- Pay: £88.94 - £100 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included and engaged in all aspects of school life. Your role will focus on helping the pupil to develop their confidence, independence, and social and academic skills in a positive and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning or behavioural needs.
- Implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
- Support learning across all areas of the curriculum.
- Promote engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support.
- Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with children who have additional needs (essential).
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to support.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
