Academics in Canterbury are working closely with a vibrant primary school in Folkestone who are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil on an ongoing basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and is committed to supporting the learning and development of children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child in KS2, tailoring learning activities to meet their individual needs
- Build a strong, positive relationship with the child to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff and parents/carers

What we are looking for:
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or currently studying for a PGCE or Education Degree
- Previous experience supporting children with a range of abilities, particularly in a 1:1 setting
