This wonderful, small school is seeking a passionate and experienced Year 5/6 Teacher to join their vibrant and supportive primary school in Southminster, Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly, dedicated team where your contribution will have a direct impact on the development and well-being of our students. The successful candidate will join us on a permanent contract starting in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons for Year 5/6 students across the curriculum
- Ensure that all pupils achieve their best and make good progress
- Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support the students' development
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and staff development opportunities
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Has proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5 and/or Year 6
- Is passionate about creating an inspiring and engaging classroom environment
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is committed to promoting the academic and personal development of every child
- Has a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
