Academics are an education recruitment agency working in partnership with primary schools across South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Year 4 Teacher for a welcoming and supportive school located in Barry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with a love for early Key Stage 2 learning, and a desire to nurture academic and emotional growth in young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum
- Support pupils in developing core skills in literacy, numeracy, and early independence
- Track and assess progress to inform planning and next steps
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Academics)
- Prior experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, with the ability to adapt for a range of learning needs
- Two professional references from the last two years
