A community-focused mainstream primary school in Didcot, Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced and motivated Year 3 Teacher with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) to join their Key Stage 2 team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher ready to take on additional responsibility and play a key role in whole-school development.
The school is well regarded for its inclusive ethos and strong commitment to supporting all pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. They are looking for a professional, reflective, and caring practitioner who can combine high-quality classroom practice with leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Leading a curriculum area or phase responsibility as part of the TLR role
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development in Year 3
- Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Applying effective behaviour management strategies
- Using assessment effectively to inform teaching and raise attainment
- Collaborating with KS2 colleagues and contributing to a supportive team culture
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues where appropriate
- Participating in the wider life and strategic development of the school
- Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching in KS2 is essential, and experience in a leadership or subject lead role is desirable.
