Role Overview for Year 1 Teacher:

  • Start Date: January 2025
  • Interview Date: Immediate start
  • Salary Range: MPS1 - UPS3 (aligned to pay scale)
  • Contract: Full-time, 1-year contract

Key Responsibilities of Year 1 Teacher:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with either a PGCE or a Bachelor of Education; Early Career Teachers (ECT) are also encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to Year 1 students
  • Address and manage challenging behaviours through creative and constructive approaches
  • Assess student progress, offering feedback and support to foster growth
  • Work well both independently and collaboratively with the teaching team
