A welcoming Primary School in Hatfield is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team within a newly established SEN Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-resourced and supportive environment, teaching a small class of five pupils, primarily with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), alongside a small number of pupils with additional needs.

The Role

  • Teaching a small SEN class of 5 pupils
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
  • Working closely with two additional specialist support staff
  • Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience working with SEN, particularly ASD (desirable but not essential)
  • Be patient, nurturing and committed to inclusive education
  • Work effectively as part of a supportive team
  • Be able to support and uphold the school's values and ethos
