Academics Rochester is partnering with a forward-thinking Primary School in Gillingham, Kent that is seeking a committed and experienced HLTA or Unqualified Teacher for a fixed-term contract starting November 2025.

The HLTA / Unqualified Teacher role involves covering classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with opportunities to lead whole class teaching as well as support smaller groups in core subjects.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds HLTA qualification
  • Minimum 6 months\’ experience in class cover
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
  • Approachable, engaging, and encouraging with students
  • Committed to safeguarding students in line with school policy and highest standards
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
