Become a Thrive Practitioner & Make a Lasting Difference
Role: Thrive Teaching Assistant (Level 3 or equivalent)
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Term-time, Monday – Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Daily Rate: £88.94 – £110 (including holiday pay)
About the role
Are you trained in the Thrive Approach® or passionate about trauma-informed, emotional wellbeing support in schools? We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Thrive Practitioner to join a supportive Primary School.
Responsibilities
- Apply Thrive strategies in one-to-one and small-group sessions, helping pupils understand their emotions, regulate behaviour, and build self-esteem in a safe and structured environment.
- Observe progress, celebrate breakthroughs, and contribute to a whole-school culture of emotional health.
- Access further training and professional development to deepen Thrive practice and expand the SEN and wellbeing toolkit.
- Refer qualified Thrive practitioners to Academics and receive rewards as outlined in the referral program.
You’ll be a great fit if you have
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Thrive training or experience applying Thrive principles in an educational setting
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice, attachment, and social-emotional development
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, autism, anxiety, or communication needs
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive, child-centred education
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
