Teaching Assistants – Special Educational Needs
Location: Bristol
Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time Only (39 weeks per year)
Working Hours:

* 30 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:50am–3:20pm), or
* 32.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:45am–3:45pm)
* Salary: Β£90 - Β£95
* Closing Date: 28 August 2025 at 11:59pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an OFSTED Outstanding special school dedicated to supporting the learning, development, and well-being of 168 children and young people aged 3 to 19 years. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our skilled and supportive team.

This is a rewarding role where you will work with pupils who have severe and profound learning difficulties, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum and may present with challenging behaviours. You’ll play a key part in helping students progress, thrive, and enjoy their learning in a safe and inclusive environment.

What we’re looking for:

Energy, confidence, and enthusiasm to support pupils with a wide range of needs.

A strong commitment to inclusive education and high-quality care.

Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential – we provide a planned and supportive induction programme.

In this role, you will:

* Work closely under the guidance of teaching staff.
* Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups.
* Help pupils meet specific learning goals and developmental milestones.
* Be part of a dynamic team that includes experienced teachers and learning support assistants.
