Teaching Assistants – Ongoing Roles (Temp to Perm)
Monday to Friday – School Term Time Monday to Friday – term time only (school hours) Ongoing role with the possibility of becoming permanent Supportive and experienced team environment Located in a peaceful, natural setting near the New Forest A specialist independent school located on the edge of the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire is currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team. This school provides tailored education for children and young people aged 7-18 who have a range of severe or complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), attachment disorders and/or trauma-related difficulties.. This school work closely with professionals to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that supports both academic learning and emotional development. We are looking for individuals with a calm, empathetic, and resilient approach. While experience working with children or young people with additional needs is beneficial, it is not essential. What matters most is a genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential, along with a willingness to undertake ongoing training, particularly in safeguarding and specialist support strategies. As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to: Support pupils in the classroom and during structured activities Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to meet individual learning and emotional needs Promote positive behaviour and help pupils engage with learning at their own pace Build trusting relationships with young people who may have experienced significant challenges This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need patience, understanding, and consistency.
