Are you a learning support assistant in Halifax with experience of working with SEND children? If you are an SEND specialist, or have strengths being a learning support assistant for children with ADHD or SEMH, this is the role for you!

After February half term, a Halifax Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 4 with additional needs and working on the Year 1 curriculum.

Day to day for this learning support assistant role:

  • Supporting child with learning
  • Personal care
  • Nurturing activities
  • Brain and movement breaks
  • Supporting with behaviour

As a learning support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some personal care and strong behaviour support.
