A local primary is urgently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant – SEN to support on a 1:1 basis for a Year 4 student with Autism/ASD. This child struggles to communicate and is selective non-verbal, due to the lack of social conifdence and has been withdrawing in the classroom. The school needs you to build the childs confience academically and social emotional confidence. The Mortimer (W. Berkshire) based Primary school NEEDS more Teaching Assistant – SEN to join their team. To be adaptive and understand the diverse SEN requirements in varying degrees. The role will be 1:1 with the student Monday – Friday (08:30am – 12:30pm), as the child attends school on a timetable basis. For the rest of the time you will be supporting other SEN students with interventions, this can be from children with dyslexia and ADHD. Your Teaching Assistant – SEN daily duties: Collaborating with the Year 4 class teacher and other experienced staff members to educate the Mortimer (W. Berkshire) pupils.
