Academics are recruiting on behalf of a successful SEMH school in Basingstoke which caters for pupils aged 10-16 years with social, emotional and mental health needs and other associated needs, such as autism.

They are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children with complex needs and challenging behaviours, either within an SEN/SEMH or a mainstream school. You must have recent experience of supporting pupils, ideally within KS3 and KS4.

This is a full-time Teaching Assistant role to start ASAP. This is a term-time only role with the opportunity of a permanent position for those who get on well at the school.

You will be supporting students with special educational and behavioural needs, including autism and working with them on a small group and 1:1 basis. The ideal Teaching Assistant will be someone with an empathetic yet firm nature, with a good sense of humour.
