What the role as a Primary Teaching Assistant entails:
- Your role will mostly entail providing academic support to the class as a whole. Some students may require extra attention and you will assist and support them, ensuring they reach their goals! You may provide this support, either 1 to 1 or in small groups.
- While you embark on supporting these students, you will learn all the necessary qualities to make an amazing teacher. If you are looking to apply for your teacher training, this experience will surely set you apart from others!
- While you will be supporting the classroom and students, you will also support the class teacher. This will look like helping to set up of lessons, tidying and clearing up after lessons, providing general supervision of the class and help with behaviour management. The Successful Teaching Assistant:

- You must be proactive and be able to match your approach to fit the needs of the child you are working with.
- You should also be committed and willing to stay for duration of the school year.
Teacher training will be an option to those individuals who stay on with the school for an academic year.
