Location: High school in Carshalton
Salary: Scale 3, Points 4β6: Β£24,801 β Β£25,510 pro-rata (Β£28,125 β Β£28,929 FTE), depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours/week, Term time + 2 weeks
Schedule: Monday & Friday: 8:00am β 4:30pm; Tue, Wed, Thurs: 8:30am β 4:30pm (Some flexibility required for interventions, as directed by the SENDCo)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of learning needs. You will work under the direction of the SENDCo and teaching staff to help students access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in lessons, small groups, or 1:1 settings
- Encourage independence, social interaction, and inclusion
- Help implement and monitor individual support strategies
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to annual reviews
- Support literacy, numeracy, and other learning programmes
- Prepare learning materials and displays as needed
- Supervise students during breaks, trips, and school activities
General Duties
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and school policies
- Promote equality, inclusion, and the school's values
- Attend meetings, training, and performance reviews
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals
- Assist with invigilation and specialist support (e.g. EAL, ELSA, ASDAN)
