Academics are actively looking for enthusiastic and experienced secondary History Teachers who are now looking to gain day-to-day, short, and long term assignments within their client secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire.

Whether this is a long term contract or more day-to-day casual cover work, at Academics we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work and can be ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as these roles historically have led to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.

Roles Requirements

* Have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS or QTLS).
* Be familiar with the National Curriculum and the History/Humanities programmes of study.
* Have strong classroom management with excellent subject knowledge and to have the ability to teach and inspire positive learning attitudes.
* Be able to adapt quickly within a new school environment and to be a good team player.
* Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Please be aware for long-term assignments you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
