Academics are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic Drama/Performing Arts Teachers to work supply in our partnership secondary schools in Staffordshire and the Cheshire East after the Christmas break. Working as a supply teacher is a great way to explore a variety of different schools before applying for a long term or permanent post and additionally supply is an excellent way to boost your classroom experience for your CV.
Qualified Drama Teachers who wish to register with Academics will:
- Have a proven track record of working with students in both Key Stage(s) 3-5.
- Be a confident communicator, an excellent motivator, and can build good rapport with students.
- Hold the relevant Drama/Performing Arts qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with a Qualified Teaching Status (QTS or QTLS).
- Deliver exciting and engaging Drama/Performing Arts lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, and the client rate that is available. For longer-term assignments you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
