We are seeking a creative and inspiring Lecturer who can deliver engaging classes to learners who are based within the prison. As an English Lecturer, you will be supporting learners to achieve success and guiding them through Functional Skills courses. You will not only help them to achieve qualifications, but also confidence and skills they can apply to employment upon release, or to other areas within education. The College works to reduce re-offending by providing learners with opportunities to learn and develop skills. MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Deliver challenging and exciting learning sessions
  • Prepare, teach, and mark while monitoring learner targets and ensuring students are fully enrolled, accurate records are kept, and assist in administration of progress, assessment schedules, schemes of work, course reviews, and induction programmes

  • Relevant Degree or vocational qualification (DTTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed), teaching / training / vocational experience in subject area
  • Work with students who may have little experience of education and training
  • Teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners

FINER DETAILS

  • Location: Sutton, Surrey
  • Salary: Up to £38,144 per annum (subject to experience)
  • Benefits: 35 days annual leave plus additional closure days and UK Bank Holidays; generous pension scheme; professional development opportunities; employee assistance programme; and excellent discounts
