A welcoming, close-knit village primary school in Dursley is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil. This role is available to start as soon as safeguarding checks are complete.
Responsibilities
- Support a non-verbal child with Autism, helping them feel safe, understood, and engaged throughout the school day.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored strategies to support learning, communication, and social development in a calm and nurturing environment.

The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience supporting children with Autism and/or non-verbal communication (in school or care settings)

- Be confident using visual supports, routines, and alternative communication strategies (or eager to learn)
- Hold GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
