SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant required. Academics are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work across local primary schools based in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas and provide 1:1 support for pupils in a primary school setting who display challenging behaviour and additional learning needs.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and who can remain calm, consistent, and positive when supporting pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, engagement, or social skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and behavioural needs
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement
  • Support emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement in learning
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Record progress, incidents, and outcomes to support pupil development
