Academics are on the search for a Year 5 Teacher. A well performing school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate individual to join their team as a Year 5 Teacher. We are looking for a teacher who can foster a love of learning, maintain high expectations for all pupils, and deliver engaging lessons. You will be part of an experienced and supportive team that works collaboratively to ensure the success and well-being of their pupils.
Teaching Position: Year 5 Teacher
Location of school: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Pay scale: MPS1 to MPS6
Contract: Full time, term time only
The successful Year 5 Class teacher will:
- Be an enthusiastic, reflective, and innovative teacher.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies and the National Curriculum.
- Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
- Have a good understanding that behaviour is a form of communication and experience/knowledge of using strategies to support this.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have an excellent level of competency in English (spoken and written) and Maths.
- Able to commute to Stevenage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, exciting lessons to meet the diverse needs of your class.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their development.
- Adapting learning via scaffolding and support to suit the needs of the class.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Contributing to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities or school initiatives.
