Academics have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join a successful SEN Academy Group, working across three of their schools in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is a permanent opportunity paying between NHS banding 5-7 starting from £31,049 - £54,710, depending on experience.
The successful Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working to establish and develop:
- A speech and language therapy service to meet the needs of pupils across the academy.
- A continuing CPD programme for the school staff in line with the school's development plan, delivering training etc.
- An integrated approach to embedding therapeutic strategies across the curriculum which will provide support for a wide range of SLCN.
- Specialist interventions as part of a holistic integrated approach - as prescribed by the SaLT team.
You will be required to participate in clinical supervision sessions and where appropriate, provide supervision to peers. You must be able to demonstrate good clinical knowledge in the assessment, treatment and management of a wide range of language and communication difficulties in young people from the age of 5 - 19 years.
To be considered for the role of Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT), you must:
- Have a recognised professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Be HCPC and RCSLT registered.
- Be able to provide evidence of working within a multidisciplinary team with children or adults with communication needs.
