Academics are recruiting on behalf of a secondary provision in Basingstoke which provides education for pupils aged 10-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism (ASC). They are looking for an experienced SENCO to carry out a full-time contract starting in January until August 2026.
They have very high expectations of their students and work exceptionally hard with a dedicated and inspiring staff team to provide a learning environment that enables them to thrive. Their staff team go above and beyond every day to ensure that students get the best possible experience.
As an experienced SENCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all of their pupils receive the support and resources needed to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the core purpose of the school which is to ensure that all pupils achieve their best personal, social, and academic potential.
The SENCO is expected to take a leading role in ensuring that all EHCP objectives are supported, whilst promoting and modelling high standards for all pupils and supporting a cohesive and positive ethos within the school.
The suitable SENCO will have QTS and the SENCO Qualification, or be working towards this. You will have extensive SEN/SEMH experience and knowledge.
